2007-2008
Date: Jun 30, 2008
Dave Gras - 23rd President
I'll always remember our first board meeting the year I was president. We looked at a graph that describes how organizations are born, they grow, mature and then can have a period of decline and even die. One of the board members said, "Well we're not dead but we are surely in decline! We need to grow the club! Another said, "ok by how many? 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25? The board unanimously agreed that we needed to shoot for 15 new members. Out of this came our Vision statement for the year, "GROW AND SERVE" and we added 12 new members during the year.

2006-2007
Date: Jun 30, 2007
Ron Tennissen - 22nd President
As I look back on 2006-2007 I think the members of the club should be
very proud of their accomplishments, which included:
Delivering over 600 "Meals of Wheels" lunches.
Initiating, under leadership of Larry Williams, the "Books for
Kids", which collected 7,778 books for distribution to Head Start
Programs in the Kansas City Metro Area.
Donating school supplies to the U.S. Army for distribution to Iraqi
school children
Providing gifts to 65 children as part of the Salvation Army's
Christmas Angels Program
Conducting two successful fund raising programs, the Rose Sale and
the Golf Tournament, allowing the club to contribute $6,500 each to
the Britain Infant Development Center at Shawnee Mission Medical
Center and to Higher M-Pact.
Contributing $1,704 to the Greensburg Relief Effort
Conducting the fall and spring cleanup of the 150-year old Antioch
Cemetery and planting a tree at the cemetery.
Exceeding the "Every Rotarian Every Year Goal" of $100 per member
contribution to the Rotary International Foundation, by donating an
average of $116 per member.

2005-2006
Date: Jun 30, 2006
Lori Maher - 21st President
I was honored to serve as Club President in 2005-2006. In addition to our fundraising events (Valentine's Day Rose Sales and Golf Tournament), our delivery of meals on wheels and the requirements fulfilled to receive the Presidential Citation -- the club celebrated our 20th anniversary in June of 2005 (founded in 1985)! In addition, we were celebrating Rotary's 100th Anniversary. As an association executive, I've always been charged with working throughout the year "with" the Presidents of various organizations - being President is much different! I'll always remember the bell ringing instruction by Pat McAnany following my first meeting, the networking and fellowship with members, the long-lasting relationships with other club leaders developed at PETS and SETS, and most of all the reward that "service above self" gives us all personally and professionally.
