F   Free shuttle service between the High School parking lot and the Middle School during the show hours.  The High School parking lot is located on Bagley Ave., between Lake Dr. and Wealthy St in Gaslight Village.

For thirty six years the Rotary Club of Grand Rapids-East has hosted an Antique Extravaganza in East Grand Rapids, featuring antique dealers from all over the Midwest with a splendid array of interesting items from your past.  Each spring we are excited to welcome our friends, neighbors and all who have an interest in the fascinating world of collecting antiques and other unique pieces of history.

2009 Show Highlights

 

  • Premier Night:  (Friday evening from 6:30 - 9:00 pm) An event open to friends of Rotary East Charities that have financially supported our show as a Donor, Sponsor or by placing a Show Book ad.  Guest wishing to attend this event may do so by donating a minimum of $50 to Rotary East Charities.

 

  • Guest Lecturer:   (Saturday morning from 9:00 - 9:45 am) Kristina Evey with Centric Strategies will be presenting "Turn Your Words into Profits".  A Professional speaker, trainer and educator in all areas of customer satisfaction and retention.  She helps clients improve the way they connect with their customers and increase their profits.  She has several articles published on the topics of customer service, customer satisfaction and customer retention.  She holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from San DiegoStateUniversity with an emphasis on Industrial/Organizational Psychology.  Kristina is also trained in Neuro Linguistic Programming in order to help clients use the language of the mind to consistently achieve specific and desired outcomes.   A Show ticket must be purchased to attend the Spresentations a  seating is limited.

·       Appraisers:  An all time favorite at each year's Show!  Available both Saturday and Sunday from 11 am - 4 pm.  Appraisals are limited to two items and the cost is $15 for one or 2 for $20.  A show ticket must be purchased to have items appraised.

 

·       Silent Auction:  This is a special on-going event at this year's Show.  J.R. Gilpin, proprietor of the Heirloom House in East Grand Rapids, has donated a framed painting of Rose's; a favorite dining spot for many locals.  The oil on linen painting is framed and carries a suggested retail price of $700.  Stop by the display and place your bid.  You may be the lucky bidder.  Auction ends 3 pm Sunday afternoon and bidders need not be present for the closing announcement.

 

·       Raffle Drawings:   Purchase your tickets (one for $5 or three for $10) for a chance to win several nice gifts from area retailers and the coveted Shopping Sprees.  This year we will be raffling off three $250 Shopping Sprees.  Winners of these are able to utilize the $250 at this year's Show or the following.  Drawings will occur Sunday at 2 pm.  If you haven't already, please stop by and purchase your tickets from our Raffle Table.  For the detailed list of prizes please refer to the Index Page.

 

·       Door Prizes:   All those entering the Show are able to enter this drawing.  This year's Door Prizes are, once again, donated by Dr. Mary Applet.  The combined appraised value of these antiques is over $1000.  To view the lovely pieces and to review the descriptions of each individual piece, please refer to the Door Prize Registry Table.
