Our committee is responsible for the development and implementation of plans to support The Rotary Foundation both through financial contributions and program participation.

November is Foundation Month in Rotary. Although we encourage contributions to Rotary Foundation all year, we place a special emphasis on creating awareness in November.

Our committee is also charged with the responsibility of administering the Rotary Youth Exchange Program. If you are a student between 15 & 17 and are intertested in spending a year of your education in another country, please contact Susan Reed.

In early October 2005, our club hosted the Group Study Exchange Team from District 4480 in Brazil. Our members hosted the Brazil team in their homes and new friendships were born.

We also accept applications for Group Study Exchange (GSE) Team Members and enjoy assisting our District in hosting Group Study Exchange (GSE) Teams from other countries when they are here visiting. We are currently accepting applications for the January 2010 Group Study Exchange to the India. If you are a Canadian citizen between the ages 25 & 40 and are employed in a business or profession on a full time basis, and you live in the Washago area, you may qualify to be a team member.
