The three grade schools we sponsor are King (between Idaho and Mill
Plain at MacArthur), Roosevelt (next to Bagley Center) and Washington
(at 29th and S in Rosemere).
We supply a cash fund for the Principals to spend as they see fit;
they mostly choose reading porgrams, student emergencies and school
improvements (e.g reader board by entrance).
We provide stationery and supplies for students whose families are unable or unwilling to provide them.
A small and very silly group of Rotarians help Santa deliver gifts to the lower two grades.
Lunch/Reading Buddy Program
The Small Children Need Big Friends commitee also sponsors the
Lunch/Reading Buddy program, which matches at-risk children with adults
who eat lunch with them once a week and helps with their reading. More
