Please visit the websites of the Rotaract Clubs that we sponsor in Boston.
These clubs are for young adults (ages 18-30). Their dedication to Rotary's humanitarian goals is inspiring!
1. Rotaract Club at the Boston University School of Public Health
The BUSPH Rotaract Club is made up of graduate students from the Boston
University Medical Campus, primarily from the School of Public Health.
Our club focuses on fellowship, community service, and professional
development, working to embody the principles of Rotary International;
we have a specific focus on activities that address public health
issues locally and internationally. During the course of this year, we
will be supporting an orphanage in Kenya called Mudzini Kwetu (
http://www.onehomemanyhopes.org)
as well as other exciting projects and initiatives. We meet twice
weekly from September through May, in addition to having several social
and service activities each month. Please feel free to contact our
President, Katie, with questions or opportunities for collaboration.

2. Rotaract Club of Boston - Join Us in Service!
The Rotaract Club of
Boston was formed in the Fall of 2003 and received it's charter from Rotary
International in the Spring of 2004.
Our
members include former Interact Club Members, Rotary Youth Exchange Alumni,
Ambassadorial Scholar Alumni, World Peace Fellow Alumni,
Inbound and Outbound Ambassadorial Scholars, college students, young working
professionals, sons and daughters of Rotarians as well
as Rotaractors from around the world who are attending school or interning in
the Boston area. Because of our diverse membership,
the
Boston Rotaract Club is a very dynamic group offering a very international
perspective on community and world affairs.
With over 7,000
Rotaract Clubs in 163 countries and geographical areas, members have an instant
network around the globe.
We invite
men and women, between the ages of 18-30, to explore our club as a way to
serve both the local and international communities.
Regular
meetings are held every Sunday at 1:30 PM in the Boston Rotary Club office
located at 20 Park Plaza, Suite 518, Boston, MA 02116.
Driven by a
commitment to world peace and understanding, our thoughtful members organize and
participate in volunteer projects that significantly
improve people's lives. Recent service projects include sending wheelchairs to a
village in Guatemala, fund-raising to help women in developing
countries, visiting the elderly during the holidays, and cooking at a homeless
shelter.
Rotaract's greatest
strength is the friendships it fosters. Through interactions at meetings and fun
social outings, such as, international dining, retreats and
cultural events, our members find life long friends in each other.
Rotaractors also develop meaningful relationships with Rotarians,
community, business and political leaders, as well as those who share Rotary
ideals of "Service Above Self" around the world.
In addition to
learning from the leading professionals, who speak at our meetings, Rotaractors
develop into leaders through event organization and project
management opportunities. This forum challenges members' analytical and people
skills as they think hard about the needs of the people they aim to
serve and grow in their understanding of the world through engaging dialogs with
diverse groups of people.
