Youth Programs
The Rotary Club of Highlands Ranch supports four Highlands Ranch area High School Students to attend the Rotary Leadership Youth Awards (RYLA) week of leadership training during the summer at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, CO. The club also supports two or three Jr. High students for the Jr RYLA leadership training. We also support an Interact Club at Highlands Ranch High School, which teaches students how to be active in Community Service events and Fundraising projects. The Rotary Club is also active in hosting and sending out exchange students. We have hosted and sponsored over 85 exchange students.
Community Involvement
The Rotary Club of Highlands Ranch is very active in Community Service Programs. We have worked extensively with Inter Faith Community Services to solicit food donations, help stock the food shelves, deliver food baskets to senior in need of help, provide backpacks with school supplies for school children, and provide gift baskets for the under privileged at Thanksgiving and Christmas. We also work at Project Cure in Englewood, sorting and boxing medial supplies for use by doctors and hospitals in undeveloped countries.. Club members have worked with the Highlands Ranch Community Association to provide parking attendants for the Circus to raise money for Highlands Ranch student scholarships. We also support the Town Center Home Town Holiday in December by serving complimentary Hot Cocoa for the event thanks to sponsorship from Littleton Adventist Hospital. We have been active in supporting events at Western Welcome Week in Littleton every August and have supported blood drives and even an immunization clinic in the community.
