30 Years of Service to those in Need
Lunch Break’s mission is to freely provide life’s basic necessities - food, clothing, and fellowship for our community members in need; and to alleviate hunger and lead those we serve to self sufficiency and healthier lifestyles. We serve everyone with compassion and dignity.
Our vision is to serve our region as the comprehensive food, nutrition, and life skills resource for community members in need.
In 2012 we served 56,487 hot meals, a 68 percent increase over the previous 5 years, we had 7,128 food pantry pick ups, a staggering 608 percent increase and 8,879 clothing pick ups, a 476 percent increase. Lunch Break was also a first responder in Sandy’s disaster relief effort. We provide many other services such as hot breakfasts and bag lunches every Saturday morning, legal advice, Dinner and Movie Nights for the Boys and Girls Club, access to our in-house Internet Café, distribution of presents during the holidays, donation during the summer of fresh fruit and vegetables from the Red Bank Farmer’s Market and local gardens, cooking classes for children and so much more!
All this is made possible by the dedicated staff and more than 2000 volunteers who freely donate their time, and by our contributors who provide financial support. As Lunch Break continues to grow we need your continued support.
Thank you very much for all you have done for us.
