Rotarian Toya's husband, Art suffered a bad fall and is now recovering from hip surgery at SeaView, please extend well wishes and support to Rotarian Toya during this very difficult period for her.
As if having the DG Errol Alberga, DGE Diana White and our new Rotaractors wasn't enough...we were honored with our Interacter club members present at our Nov. 4th meeting.
We had a wonderful time welcoming DG Errol at our club meeting, at our board meeting and at our dictionary distribution Gift of Words project at Lockhart Elementary.
The groundwork begun last August in the establishment of the Territory's first community based Rotaract club culminated in a signing ceremony this past Wednesday.
The newly formed Rotaract Club St. Thomas II completed their official paperwork at the signing Ceremony for Rotaract Club St. Thomas II Charter by Rotary Club of St. Thomas II on November 4.

Coming up on December 20th is the Paul Harris-Rose Council "Winter Wonderland" Awards Celebration in the Grand Ballroom at Marriott's Frenchman's Reef, beginning with a champagne reception at 1:00 o'clock in the afternoon. The awards banquet starts at 2:00 PM. The Celebration's Special guest will be Edwin H. Futa, General Secretary of Rotary International. Tickets are $75.00 each and formal attire is requested.

Veterans Day originally was held every November 11th. It was first incorporated as by President Wilson as Armistice Day in 1919. Eventually after WWII, citizens felt that the veterans of all wars should be recognized, not just those of WWI. So in 1954 Congress changed the name from Armistice Day to Veterans Day.

Lisa Monette knew she wanted to do something for her class project that would have a lasting impact.
Monette, a Rotary World Peace Fellow at Chulalongkorn University, joined forces with three other peace fellows who were thinking along similar lines.
