President FRED JONES opened the meeting; GARY BREWER gave the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance, KIP MARCHMAN, led the singing; GENE CARPENTER introduced guests and visiting Rotarians, RAND WALLIS passed the Happy Box, FRED JONES introduced our program.

President Fred thanked the Rotarians who hosted the Russian students. Matt Bartolomei inducted our new member, Arthur King. Arthur was sponsored by Butch Margraf. Nestor de Armas was presented the Volunteer of the Year Award by the Florida Hospital Foundation for his "Shares" work.

The Rotary Center for International Studies in peace and conflict resolution supports the mission of the Rotary Foundation to further world understanding and peace.
Each year the Center selects and trains Rotary Peace Fellows based on their ability to have a significant, positive impact on world peace and conflict resolution during their future careers. The Rotary World Peace Fellowships are offered on a world-competitive basis. Each Rotary district may nominate candidates for competition in the worldwide selection process.

Winter Park Rotarians Bill Wright, Sean Gross, Rory Williams, Jeffrey Blydenburgh, Dean Shaheen, Scott Hall, Brian Head and Kirk Mackey joined a handful of WPHS Interact students and Dean's daughters on Saturday morning to clean and stain/seal the wooden memorial gazebo in Central Park.

Winter Park Rotarian, Bill Wright, and fellow Rotarians are leading the club's Literacy Project. Every Third-Grader in Winter Park Elementary Schools received their very own Dictionary.

This website, if you log in, as all good WP Rotarians should now be able to do, has a member directory with all members and their phone numbers, addresses, email, spouse's name, birthday (with everyone born in 2004 - you young'ns), join date, etc. You can access this data and even print out a phone directory.
