(REDONDO BEACH) November 11, 2009 -- Three years after launching the Redondo Beach Rotary Club Community Foundation, the Internal Revenue Service has issued the long-awaited letter of determination. Recipt of the letter means the club's foundation is now legally, a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. Click here to view the Letter of Determination. Contributions to the Foundation should be made out to the Redondo Beach Rotary Club Foundation and submitted to any member of the Foundation Board (James Jackman, Terry Bichlmeier, Pat Cashin or Ted Wendorff) or to Club Foundation Chair Bill Paul.

Redondo Beach – (November 9, 2009) – This week were are embarking on the development and production of our BIGGEST fundraising event of the year and dare I say - the history of the club. We have set a goal of $55,000.00 revenue and $40,000.00 net income for the event! As Karen Weigel demonstrated to us last year, a big goal can be met with good planning! So, on Wednesday November 11, 2009 we will hold a club assembly and begin setting the stage for a fabulous event!
To prepare for the meeting, first of all put it on your calendar to be there! Then think about all of your talents and skills, how can you use them to make a difference for the club and the event? Be prepared to sign up for one of the committees that stretches you and excites you. That is all there is to it!
Wednesday is Veteran's Day, come honor all of our members and their colleagues for the service that they provided in keeping our great country great, safe and free!

Rotary International is working to improve communication opportunities. RI recently ventured into the You Tube media world. Click on You Tube to see RI's product. You will see many improvements at the district level too as we progress through the year. Modern communication avenues are being reviewed and will be implemented as we progress.
