Dayton Rotarians once again rallied to provide warm coats and warm hearts to local Dayton Public School Patterson Kennedy students. After all was said and done, the group provided more than 125 coats to the elementary and middle school students. Rotarians' hearts were warmed at the delivery on Friday, November 6 as the children gratefully accepted their new coats with smiles and hugs. Amanda Cox organized the project, now in its third year, with help from her committee members.
Special thanks to Tom Fodor and Al Dunn for helping organize, size, and bag coats on Thursday morning--that was a big job! Hearts to Clarence Bittner, Denise Swick and Marguerite Krein for helping load ALL those BIG bags into the cars and distribute at PK on Friday morning. And roses to Pete Nichols, Amy Radachi and her team from Americorps, and Joni Reel for their help with passing out the coats as well. What a wonderful showing of the HUGE hearts Dayton Rotarians have…thanks to YOU for making this possible!
