The third annual Parade of Heroes sponsored by the Village West Rotary Club will take place Thursday, October 1 at 7:00p.m. at Village West in Kansas City, Kansas.

The evening parade celebrates our armed forces and local heroes from all walks of life, including police officers and fire fighters.  Proceeds from this year's event will support the local American Disabled Veterans organization.

Two distinguished Word War II veterans and past presidents of the Leavenworth Rotary Club will serve as Grand Marshals for the parade.  Both Beau Kansteiner and Bill Thompson served in both the European and Asiatic-Pacific theaters of combat.

The parade will begin at 7 p.m. and follow Village West Parkway from France Family Drive, north to Stadium Drive.  Local bands, antique cars chauffeuring the heroes, and other special parade entries will make this an exciting evening.

If you or your club or organization wishes to support a hero in the parade, or become a sponsor, please contact Shelly Fabac at shawnee@signarama.com or 913-962-9317, to learn more about this outstanding opportunity to show your support for our local heros.

See you at the Parade!
