Rotary Club of Gwinnett Mosaic hosts the Monster Mash Charity Poker Tournament. Wednesday October 26, 2011, at the 1818 Club.
Proceeds to benefit Rainbow Village's Capital Campaign.
Come
enjoy a devilishly great time while raising money for an incredible
charity. Show a little "spirit" and dress as your favorite superhero,
pirate, or princess and get an extra bump in starting chips. The
best dressed ghoul or ghoulette will get double the starting chips so
put a little effort into it. Or just come dressed however you were at
work and support a great cause. So prepare for a little double, double, toil and trouble, and may the river provide you all treats and no tricks. Entry
fee is $75 per person for poker or $25 to come root on your friends or
enjoy some bingo. All donations are tax-deductible. Great prizes for winners of poker and bingo include sports tickets, libations, and an exciting getaway trip. Registration begins at 6:00 PM. Cards and bingo begin at 7 PM. Evite search: Gwinnett Mosaic Monster Mash Charity Poker Tourney Join us on Facebook by searching Gwinnett Mosaic Rotary Club.

In the spirit of Rotary International’s main objective, Service Above Self
, each year the Gwinnett Mosaic Rotary Club seeks to collaborate with
one of the many outstanding charitable organizations in the metro area,
primarily in Gwinnett County,
to serve as our official community partner. Improving life within the
local community is a core focus of the Gwinnett Mosaic Rotary Club. This
year, we are excited to open the partnership opportunity to the
community through a public nomination and voting process.
The
award for the winning charity is an upfront $1,000 cash donation,
incremental donations on behalf of
the weekly guest speakers featured at each Gwinnett Mosaic Rotary Club
meeting, along with the name rights and recognition as our official
charity for the year for our weekly guest speakers. The cash value of
this incremental donation over the course of the
1-year partnership is an approximate $1,000.00, for a combined cash
donation of $2,000.00 (not to mention the intangible value of being the official charity for the guest speakers!)
Nominations will be open from now until July 15, 2011.
The nominations will be considered by the Gwinnett Mosaic Rotary
Club and the Gwinnett Mosaic Rotary Club Board of Directors, where the
top three charities will be selected at our discretion. Upon selection
of the top three charities, a public vote (via this same
website) will be taken from August 1, 2011 until August 30, 2011.
During this public voting period, only one person can only vote for one
charity per day. The Gwinnett Mosaic Rotary Club reserves the right to
exclude and invalidate any votes the Gwinnett Rotary Club deems to be
completed by means of software generated or
other automated processes.
The winning charity will be
announced by August 31, 2011. For a complete set of rules, please click here.
