Malawi, June 27, 2011 Christie Johnson, of Pearson College, reports from Malawi that they have just celebrated the graduation of our first 73 girls. She adds, "I saw the boiling pot in action and am most impressed by this incredible machine. It is very versatile, is plumbed right into the kitchen and can be filled and emptied with ease. It can cook potatoes, rice, beans, vegetables and nsima in huge quantities and keep the foods warm for hours. The school has managed to purchase two more of these pots so we now have three working pots. With just these pots, over 500 people were fed a feast of seven different dishes. The new pot should have a lifetime of 15 years so you have helped to feed many generations of students."
