Malawi Children's Village was conceived and developed by a native
Malawian health worker with the support of former Peace Corps
volunteers, many of whom are now Rotarians ,who recognized that the huge
number of AIDS orphans needed a different model for living and thriving
than orphanages. The 37 villages within the MCV catchment provides
community-based AIDS orphan support in which the children are at the top
of the educational and health spectrum in Malawi: The Warm Heart of
Africa! |
