" Community Response to Aids Orphans in Milawi. "
 

Malawi Children's Village was conceived and developed by a native Malawian health worker with the support of former Peace Corps volunteers, many of whom are now Rotarians ,who recognized that the huge number of AIDS orphans needed a different model for living and thriving than orphanages. The  37 villages within the MCV catchment provides community-based AIDS orphan support in which the children are at the top of the educational and health spectrum in Malawi: The Warm Heart of Africa!

 Join other club members in a light breakfast and then join Gail Fraiser and other guides of the Art in the Mountains Association.  The new statues change on June 7 so find out the history of some old favorites and about statues to come newly installed.  This is a walking tour of downtown sites.

 Some ask aren't there water needs closer to home?  The answer is a resounding yes.  Edith has been working with the Navajo Indians in Canyon de Chelley where in spite of it being a National Park they do not have enough water to water their crops.

"The Conifer Rotary Club share about their backpack program"
 
 In 2012 the Rotary Club of Conifer became concerned about the number of children that were hungry in schools along the 285 corridor.  The club decided to dig in and addressed the problem.  After one school year they are ready to share their experiences.
