Malawi Children's Village was conceived and developed by a native
Malawian health worker with the support of former Peace Corps
volunteers, many of whom are now Rotarians ,who recognized that the huge
number of AIDS orphans needed a different model for living and thriving
than orphanages. The 37 villages within the MCV catchment provides
community-based AIDS orphan support in which the children are at the top
of the educational and health spectrum in Malawi: The Warm Heart of
Africa! |

"The Conifer Rotary Club share about their backpack program" | | | In 2012 the Rotary Club of Conifer became concerned about the number of children that were hungry in schools along the 285 corridor. The club decided to dig in and addressed the problem. After one school year they are ready to share their experiences.
