The Howell Rotary Club will meet at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 19, 2012 in the Community Room of the St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospital in Howell. The hospital is located at 620 Byrun Rd. in Howell, Michigan, 48843
Our program this week will be hosted by Club Member Doris Stromer. Doris has arranged for Mott Community College President, Dr. Richard Shaink to speak to the Club.
Last week Club Member Jeff Hansen introduced Mr. Shea Charles, Howell City Manager to discuss the state of the city. Mr. Charles explained the impact the decline in property values has had on the City and how the City has been responding to the 25% decline in revenue.
A big thank you to Dan Murdock for organizing the bowling teams for the Big Brothers-Big Sisters Bowl-for-Kids-Sake event. Our Club turned $1,690 into B.B.-B.S..
And a special but belated thank you to Doris Stromer for her work on the Walk-for-Warmth event for OLHSA. Approximately $1,600 was raised for that event by our members.
