John Chi, Head of the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office for Houston
	John Chi, new head of Taipei's Houston Economic & Cultural Office in Houston, enlightened us at the June 24 meeting with fascinating slides and factoids about Taiwan's past and present. John (pictured with host Kathy Ballanfant and RY 2010-11 BSWH President Ralph Rieger) assumed his Houston post for the Republic of China Taiwan Diplomatic Mission on May 1, having previously served in Taipei's Economic & Cultural Offices in New York City, Boston, and Los Angeles. We have had two RYE students from Taiwan: Jasmine Wei and Patty Chou. John was accompanied by his assistant, Callie Saleski, to whom we extend thanks for the photos.
