Installation Program Mirrors RI 2007-08 Theme: ROTARY SHARES
The Reverend John Price gave a moving Invocation celebrating Rotary's treasures of family and friendship, and for goodwill use of talent, time, skill, & experience, in love, then gifted the incoming president with a presentation copy of the beautiful prayer.
Reverend Price, who was accompanied by wife Arlene Price, was our Rotary District's Centennial Professional Excellence honoree and has been a frequent visitor and keynote speaker to BSWH club. He serves as Chaplain for the FBI Houston Region and Assistant Rector of Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church, as well as being a retired Chaplain (Colonel) for the U.S. Army. He and Arlene also are proud new grandparents! Incoming president Nan Wagoner quoted Rotary International President Wilf Wilkerson in her installation remarks to the group: The MAGIC of Rotary is that it allows ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Rotary [lets] people like you and me reach beyond our daily lives to do, and be, something more. It allows us to open our hearts to people we might never meet and to share our love. . . [That's] because Rotary is about human beings' love for other human beings - - whoever and wherever they may be. Nan told the new board that they have the hands and hearts to make real magic by doing extraordinary things together in the coming year.
