Remembering those who served....Corporal Larry E. Smedley National Vietnam War Museum

Our Guest Speaker last Thursday was Al Schroeder from the Corporal Larry E. Smedley National Vietnam War Museum. .

Larry Eugene Smedley enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on March 18, 1966 in Orlando Florida.  Corporal Smedley was mortally wounded in action in Quang Nam Province on December 21, 1967.  Corporal Larry E Smedley received the Medal of Honor for his conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty. Larry Smedley was buried with full military honors in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia. His grave can be found in section 31, lot 6486.
