PROGRAM: Alexandra
presented a wonderful program regarding
characteristics of generations from 1904 to the present which also pertains to
the generations involved in Rotary. Each
of the different values, views, etc. help form our Club created with different
ideas, etc.
(See Attached)
Each of us commented, nodded/shook our heads and smiled at the
changes that have taken place since 1904 to the current generation. We all
agree we hope that personal interaction will continue even with the “wonder” of
technology.
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:
“ROTARY MOTTO OF TOLDERANCE OF DIFFERENCES”
“Rotarians in all countries (and within our local Club I
might add…..) should recognize that some activities and local customs may be
legal and customary in some countries and not in others (ditto for the
generations……..), Rotarians should recognize these facts and there should be
thoughtful avoidance of criticism of another country (member). As we strive to strengthen the bonds of
understanding, good will and friendship, these policies still provide good
advice and guidance (within Rotary and our own personal and business lives as
well)…………..
Respectfully
Submitted,
Ginny Wall
