On a wet and humid Saturday in July the shoppers at the Mason-Deerfield Kroger's open their hearts to help the Mason Food Pantry. Rotarians from the Mason-Deerfield club asked shoppers to purchase needed items for the Mason Food Pantry. What was received was 5 grocery carts full of needed items and over $400.00 in cash.

Gina Brown, Director of the Mason Food Pantry was over whelmed at the generosity of the residents. The food pantry is located at 406 4th Avenue, just south of downtown Mason. Food is distributed on a point system that is based upon household size. After submitting an application people may visit twice a month, but only once a week. (http://www.masonfoodpantry.org/)

A good time was had by all. There were eleven Rotarians working in multiple ways and at different times.

The next and last food drive of the summer is scheduled for August at the Kroger in South Lebanon with the exact date still to be determined.
