(REDONDO BEACH) May 9, 2012 -- Captain Marcelo Goncalves of The Salvation Army was inducted into the Rotary Club of Redondo Beach today.  Capt. Goncalves and his wife Odila are both captains in The Salvation Army.  He has served the Redondo Beach Community Corps since July 1, 2009.  Capt. Goncalves joined the organization in his mid forties, following a career with Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Brazil and Peoria, Ill. and with a family related business in Sao Paulo. Capt. Marcelo has a BA degree in business from FMU College in Sao Paulo and a MA degree in Christian Education from Biola University.  The couple have two adult sons.
