Nicki Britten from the Berrien County Health Department made a return visit to the club with an important health message. She brought along high tech equipment so members could test their understanding on various health topics against recent research. For example, the US has lower life expectancy than most member knew. Health Department planners see health as more than just health care. The social conditions, such as food access, transportation, housing, jobs and green space, play a large role in determining how healthy we are.
