| Lest we Forget will Illuminate the Past |

Our own club's Lee Scherwitz overviewed this year's plans for Lest We Forget. A beach landing will feature 400 re-enactors in German, Japanese, French, Russian and American uniforms. Aircraft will join the ground forces for assualt on Tiscornia Beach on Saturday, June 30. Festivities include re-enactment of the Iwo Jima flag raising by a specially trained unit.
The airport will provide the camp ground for the troops. Forces will conduct a ground assault on the airport on Sunday.
There are events for the whole family, such as, Leap Dogs Parachute Team, War Birds Aerial Display, 20th Centruy War Museum and rides in milatary aircraft ($$). Most events are FREE and open to the public. Click here for times and places of events.
