I’m not even sure I am spelling it right, let alone know exactly what it stands for, but we celebrated it at Rotary on Thursday. This was a part of new President Brian Bergh’s plan called “Mystery Holiday” to educate us on the various things that are celebrated on our calendar each day. Cal Devnich knew exactly what it was and meant and he was the big winner for the day. If you want to know what the day was all about just ask Cal.

The good news department included having Natalie Komuro back after a short absence. It was also good to have Rick White with us. We had a chance to thank him in person for the tremendous job he does in keeping our web site up to date. Rick also publishes the Rotoservice for us each week. Thanks Rick for a great job! It was good to have the brand new CEO of “Healthy Kids” Sharon Roth visiting with us. Sharon is a fellow Rotarian from the Sunrise Club.
I should have mentioned at the beginning of this article that it was a full house on Thursday. I didn’t see an empty seat and it was probably because of the outstanding program President Brian provided for us. Our speaker was former NFL quarterback Jay Schroeder. Now Jay is the Athletic Director and football coach at Valley Christian School.
Jay had a host of great stories – some funny – some sad – all inspirational. It was just another great Rotary Program.
