Bob Moles introduced Bill Gorman and Frank Chmelik, who presented a slide-show program about the annual "Pure Water" trip to Honduras (this past February). The trip lasted ten days. In Trujillo, they met Susan, the on-site project coordinator. They also visited several pueblos and a Garifina village. Saw the lingering effects of Hurricane Mitch. Bill and Frank explained the fundamentals of operating a sand filter. They met with Will Bullard, who runs the "Adelante" micro-loan program for Grameen Bank. Visit to La Cieba and a lodge at Pico Benito - butterfly reserve and zip line, hiking and swimming in mountain rivers. Then the group took a long (ten hour) bus trip to Copan. The group was amazed by the Mayan ruins of Copan, and visited and a bird sanctuary. On the last day they gave away shoes to schoolchildren, and had a wonderful final dinner up in the hills above Copan. Bill and Frank thanked Bob for his tireless effort, and also the work of the full-time program operators in Honduras.
