The Newberg Early Bird Rotary Foundation

The Newberg Early Bird Rotary Foundation (EBF) is a not-for-profit corporation that supports the efforts of the Rotary Club of Newberg Earlybirds. Donations received through the foundation are primarily used to fund bricks and mortar (long-lasting) projects in and around the Newberg community, however the Foundation can fund anything and anywhere it chooses. In 2012 the EBF Endowment approached $500,000. Grant applications are available from any EBF Board member.

The Foundation's Bricks and Mortar Programs fund "Bricks and Mortar" projects such as:
  • Park projects and Playgrounds in Newberg, Dundee and St. Paul;
  • Chehalem Cultural Center;
  • Newberg sign (brick) at the east end of downtown Newberg;
  • Newberg Public Library Children's Library expansion.
The Foundation's fundraising activities include:
  • Rota-dent sales, shared with the Newberg Noon Rotary Club;
  • Rota-chair sales.
  • Direct donations.

Rotary International maintains a Foundation as well. Many of the matching grants come from this source.
