PDG Scot Clifford visited RC Historic Filipinotown and presided the induction of two new members Ding Lapus and Jing Vida. It was in his helm that the club was chartered. The word is PDG Scot was the brain behind starting various ethnic clubs in the district. Thank you PDG Scot.
PDG Scot Clifford was introduced by our Dir. of Foundation Terry Gubatan. He's a blue blooded Bruin, been practicing law for 36 years. Past President of Wilshire Rotary 2001-02, DG 2006-07 and was instrumental in starting of ethnic clubs in the district. It was in his helm that RC Historic Filipinotown was chartered. He is married to Wendy for 35 years, three outstanding adult children and one endearing granddaughter Kaya (5 years old). He kicked off his presentation with a humorous joke about an Attorney, isn't he one?. Thereafter he jumped right into his topic of "Rotary and Its Foundation", explicitly stating the importance of Rotary Foundation as the largest private scholarship that stands behind its three prongs - Ambassadorial Scholarship, Youth Exchange/GSE and the Humanitarian Project. Then just like other Rotarians he talked about his "Rotary Moment", it was during the El Salvador Project trip in 2003. The exposure he experience to the different culture, the red carpet treatment the group received and the high stature that Rotarians have in that country. As long as it has been, one can tell that it trully left a mark in his heart.
