Congratulation to RC Historic Filipinotown for a successful evening of fun and laughter last Saturday, April 09, 2011 at the Kapistahan. Special kudos to our Dir. of Foundation Terry Gubatan for pulling it off even to the last minute together with his Rotary Anne Dianne. The club members were almost at 100% attendance with the exception of 4 members (we missed you fellow Rotarians).

Special kudos to our Dir. of Foundation Terry Gubatan for pulling it off even to the last minute together with his Rotary Anne Dianne. The club members were almost at 100% attendance with the exception of 4 members (we missed you fellow Rotarians).
It was such a delight to see everyone relax and enjoying themselves, the food was good, the company was exceptional and the emcee was sexy according to PN Cirilo, however she did have an eye for our CP Vic Ching. I like his smiling eyes, as she announced on the stage, never saw CP Vic red as a wine and speechless.
Everyone was having a great time, until the time came when our emcee started looking for singers in each table. But as soon as the former Rtn. Romy Borje started getting up on the stage to sing, it didn't take long for the others to follow and there was no stopping some of them, did anyone missed CP Vic Ching (My Way) and Rtn.Mila Agpaoa (Dahil Sa Iyo) up there???. What about our IPP Benito who sang "Venus", and mind you it has to be the Frankie Avalon version. As the saying goes, there are two types of singers, those who can sing and those who love to sing.
Talking about who can sing, the evening cannot go on without our special guest (and if the emcee thought she was good, she's in for a surprise), someone that does not need no further introduction, the highlight of the evening, the pride of RC Historic Filipinotown, the Rotary Anne of our IPP Benito, Ms. Becca Godinez. Her better half requested the song "Feelings" made famous by Morris Albert (if you know the history, you figure it out exclaimed by Becca). I suppose IPP Benito is never a jealous man. Ms. Becca did a comeback with a second song by the request of birthday boy Pres. Ben Aranda which she could not resist. As our PN Cirilo mentioned, Ms Becca has contributed so many of her resources to our rotary club in the past. And for that, 'Maraming Salamat', 'Thank You', and 'Con Todo Muchos Gracias' Rotary Anne Becca Godinez, your generosity goes unnoticed.
Last but not the least, many went home with some consolation prizes which they won at the 50/50 raffle, but the one who took the grand prize winning was no other than the daring, debonair and always been a friend of the Rotary, a past Rotarian Romy Borje. Thank you again Dir.Terry for a job well done, we had so much fun at this FUNdraising we look forward to the next one.
