Kenny Blanda - Classification Talk
|
Kenny gave a Classification Talk about his classifciation as Nursing Home Administrator. He pointed out the the industry is changing and the term "Nursing Home is no longer appropriate". The services have changed and more emphasis is being put on short term stay to deliver physican therapy, speech therapy, IV administraion services and wound care. Hospital stays are becoming shorter and patient are being discharged still needing services that formerly were formerly delivered in a hospital stay. Patients are receiving these services and then returning to their homes.
