David, a CPA told us about the evolution of his business since he joined the company in the mid 1970's. Starting with a large IBM Computer weighing more than a ton, he has seen its evolution to desktop work stations connected to the "Cloud" that can be accessed by both clients and accountants from anywhere there is internet access. This can be very important when the clients and accountants may need to evacuate at any time.
The actual filing of income tax information has gone from handwritten data on paper forms what were mailed to the IRS to data entered into the computer and transferred electronically to the IRS.
