The Rotary Club of San Jose Fish Committee hosted nearly 200 Third Graders from Washington, Lowell and Horace Mann Elementary Schools for a day of fishing at Sandy Wool Lake at the County's Ed Levin Park in Milpitas last Saturday April 30th.  Over 100 Rotary and other volunteers helped these enthusiastic young students in catching over 140 trout and catfish...many of them catching their first fish at this event.  The students and their families were then treated to a lunch provided by the Rotary Fish Committee and the Rotary Executive Chefs.  They got their class pictures taken in the park, picked up their cleaned and bagged fish and then loaded back up on their buses to go home with their catch.  As always the best payoff for the volunteers wasn't the tri-tip lunch that followed, it was the memory of all those smiling children as they waved goodbye after a fun filled day.  Many thanks to the Fish Committee and all of you who volunteered your time to make this one of the best Fish Day events ever!
