Bob Kieve
Special Edition of the CEO Show featuring Bob Kieve

For more than four decades, Bob Kieve has played an important part in the news and cultural fabric of San Jose and Silicon Valley.  He is the president of Empire Broadcasting in San Jose, which operates 1590 KLIV AM and 95.3 KRTY. He began his career as an information officer at the American Embassy in Madrid, Spain, during and after World War II. Following several program director and writer positions in radio and television, he was appointed to a position as special assistant and staff writer for President Dwight D. Eisenhower. He was a Special Assistant to Deputy Director of U.S. Information Agency before becoming general manager of Radio Stations WBBF and WBBF-FM in Rochester, NY.  He served as the President of the Rotary Club of San José, Director of the San Jose Symphony Foundation, Board Member of the San Jose Symphony, Member of the San Jose/Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee, Board member of the Northern California Broadcasters Association, the California Broadcasters Association and the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation. He is the author of El Arte Radiofonico, published in Madrid. Bob is a 1943 graduate of Harvard College.

Carl Guardino is the President and CEO of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, which was founded in 1978 by David Packard, and now represents more than 345 Silicon Valley companies. Carl has hosted “The CEO Show” on KLIV for the past five years. On the live show he interviews CEOs or senior officers, community leaders and government officials. Today he’ll put Bob Kieve in front of the microphone for a segment Carl is calling “From Ike to the iPad.”
