This month is "New Generations Month - Bringing People into the 21st century".

Membership Conference in Santa Barbara last Saturday, August 28, 2010.
Highlights: Membership - It's our Business
There is no magic wand
Need to ask everyone not just friends
We are non profit – we recruit, retain, and reach out
Our Goal is to be bigger, meaning we need more growth
Ask yourself "Why do I want to be in Rotary?"
Need to get new generations involved and encourage ongoing involvement
We need to be flexible and innovative
We need to be action oriented
District President would like to see an increase of 400 members. That means our club needs 5 new members. Clubs typically loose 10% of membership each year.
Our product is service – giving back to the community
Rotary is the Best Keep Secret
Again ask yourself, "Why am I here?" Some reasons are fellowship, networking, and giving back to the community. Why are you still in Rotary?
Rotary is the gift that keeps on giving.
Everyone needs to get an "elevator" speech
Chungsam is moving to San Diego in two weeks. Moving to be closer to family.
