This week, Susan Earl, the new director of the Brentwood Library, will be joining us to speak about the library.
Earl has more than 24 years of library experience.
Since 2003, she has served as the Main Library Administrator for the
Metro Nashville Public Library in Downtown Nashville. From 1992-2003,
she served with the Atlanta-Fulton County Public Library in a variety of
positions with increasing responsibility. From 1986-1992, she served in
positions in several locations in the Southeast. She is a native of Knoxville and has both an
undergraduate and graduate degree from the University of Tennessee with a
Masters Degree in Library Science. Earl was selected from a group of 35 interested
candidates. The interview process included three panels representing the
Library Board, the Library staff and City administration.
