Our speaker this week is Mrs. Terry Rappuhn. Mrs. Rappuhn thought something should be done after the floods in May, 2010. She got together with her pastor, some fellow church members and staff members of Westminster Presbyterian Church to go out into the community to help flood victims.
This small project raised thousands of dollars, has supported and organized hundreds of volunteers from all over the country and some from overseas. The number of homes repaired and families helped is amazing and is still going on.
Mrs. Rappuhn will tells us the stories of how her group got this going and what they have planned for the future. |
