Honorary Rotarian, H.K. Derryberry, with Neil Hinson and District Governor, Larry Boyd, prepares to lead the group assembled for the District 6760 Conference gathered at the Marriott Cool Springs in the pledge and 4-Way test.

Past president introduced by District Governor. Larry Boyd introduced fellow Kentuckian and special guest speaker, Abraham Lincoln, who spoke of his own (self) education and the importance of parents to encourage the thirst to learn and read. Literacy was the recurring theme for the meeting. Lincoln was portrayed by John Mansfield, who has won many competitions due to his uncanny likeness to the 16th president and his ability to faithfully deliver many of Lincoln's speeches.

Mr. Lincoln folded his 6'7" frame into a chair after his speech. Mansfield captured the historic details of Lincoln from his tie to his shoes.

Anna Stotts brought a special guest to our last meeting when daughter Ruby came to enjoy the breakfast at the City Cafe.

Air Force Col. Jim Joliffe from the Arnold Engineering Development Center near Winchester spoke to the club about the 40,000 acre facility which tests weapons, equipments and vehicles for the Air Force and private manufacturers. Areas of research include aeroprpulsion, aerodynamics, hypersonics, modeling & simulation and rocket technology.
