Connecting People who Care with Causes that Matter to Sydney
Next Tuesday's Guest Speaker is Rosalind Strong AM, Chair of the Sydney Community Foundation (SCF), which is a not-for-profit, public philanthropic fund where donors combine their gifts to build a growing and permanent endowment for the benefit of the community of Greater Sydney.

Ros has served as Chair of a number of not for profit and non-government organisations including Museums and Galleries NSW, UNIFEM Australia, the Asthma Foundation of NSW, and the University of Sydney Union Foundation.
She has been a member of a wide range of other government and not for profit Boards, including the Australia Korea Foundation, the NSW Board of Adult and Community Education, and the National Training Board.
Ros worked for 35 years in the NSW Public Sector, retiring as Director of the NSW Heritage Office in 2002. Her previous position was Assistant Director General in the Department of Education and Training Co-ordination where her responsibilities included vocational education and training, employment programs, adult and community education and adult migrant education.
Prior to this she worked in school education, particularly in migrant and multicultural education. She was appointed as Principal of Vaucluse High in 1989 and was Director of the Adult Migrant Education Service from 1990 - 1993. |
