Military Guests
We had two military guests this week:
- Capt. Davis Walker
- Master Chief Jim Roberts
Rogers HS Student guests
Our student guests were Molly and Britney.
- Molly is a senior who will attend Mississippi State in the fall. Currently plays on the HS VB team and volunteers as a teacher for her local church
- Brittney is a senior and the Secretary of her class. She will attend Salve next fall. She is the captain of her cheerleading team and is also a black belt in karate.
Announcements
The 2011/2012 Zone Awards will be awarded during a conference at the Hotel Viking April 20-22. We would like to see some nominations from our club for the Community Service Award, Change Maker Award. Please go online to download an award application to nominate a fellow club member. Also you may sign-up to attend the conference online.
The next Polo Club meeting will be Feb. 23rd. An email will be sent out with the location and time ASAP.
Our Speaker was Charles Fish from the Attorney general’s Office was the speaker at this week’s meeting. Gave a presentation on telemarketing fraud, advance fee scams, identity theft and check schemes. His main goal was to inform us of the new trends being used and talk about how to avoid becoming a victim.
