District Govenor, Michael Brown, administered the oath to new President, Mary Jane Santos, and the other 2013 officers and directors of the Delaware Rotary Club.

The transition of Presidents took place at the Monday, June 18 Rotary Club Meeting.
Outgoing President, George Weisner, shared highlights of his year as club president. Blue Badge speeches and more opportunities for fellowship were created to help support George's philosophy that "the Rotary wheel is not broken" and "have more fun." Incoming Club President, Mary Jane Santos, presented George with a gift from the club for his year of service.
Other awards were also given during the meeting, including Rookie of the Year honors to Larry Garrett and Dusty Hostutler for outstanding service, and Mary Jane Santos was recognized as the 101st Paul Harris Fellow. Mike Dickey also presented a surprise Paul Harris Fellow award to his wife, Barbara.
The District Governor shared the new Rotary Club motto for 2013 selected by International President, Sakuji Tanaka -- "Peace Through Service." Santos spoke about some of her plans for the Club in 2013, which included a weekly business-to-business display, a monthly supplimental meeting opportunity, and two social outings. She said the answer to the question, "What is Delaware Roatary nown for?" is up to us as members of the Delaware Rotary Club.
