Minutes from last meeting – (all) approved

Treasurers report – in Tom’s absence, covered by Chud

·      No financials to report.

·      We will budget $500 for the International student picnic next year

·      Rotary Friendship Exchange- $600 (with input from Dennis) there were three events funded by the club: lunch in Colfax, Southfork reception, and a trip to Ferdinands.  The consensus is that we do these when as opportunities evolve.  It was a good visit with lots of club involvement.

Community Service – Mick

·      Parking at the football games is going well.  Two games have been worked thus far.  Next home game Oct 15 when the Cougs take on Stanford.  Mark you calendars, November 12 is a big parking game-day for the Rotary. The rowers and other clubs have some conflicts so we need more volunteers than normal. (http://washingtonstate.scout.com/2/1018923.html)

·      Rotary New Years gala – Linda Hartford will chair this event

Club Public Relations – Kathleen

·      In the Community Page of the PR Review we have one entry four times annually publication.  The board reviewed the projects, which could be highlighted periodically.

New Generation – Debi (absent) covered by Chud

·      Solicitations for a new chair, Chandi was suggested

·      Youth Exchange – requires three families. The student comes for an entire year.  It was suggested that we ask someone from the Moscow club make a presentation at one of our regular meeting, detailing their recent experience with the program.

Fellowship – no report

Membership Development – Chud

·      Chud has developed a webinar.

·      Membership materials will be provided to each week’s speaker

Old business

International Picnic – Gary Schell (not present)

·      The board discussed the success of this year’s edition; he will recommend that we continue the project, but we should do better with budgeting

Lentil Festival – Kurt

·      Friday and Saturday wine sales with the Chamber netted the club $450.  The board advocates we continue the project next year.
