Thanks to the generosity of our fabulous sponsors and the exceptional foresight and effort of our planning/marketing team, we are ready to deliver the first of our three Summer Showcase Concerts this Wednesday night. Proceeds for this show will benefit ECHO (Evergreen Christian Outreach), our well-run local food bank.
'Tom Carby Farmer's Insurance', Jim Sherwood's 'Evergreen Clothing Company', Larae & Tom's 'Marmalade', Micky's 'Green Merchant', Curtis & Kristopher's 'Willow Creek', Mark Footer's 'Intero Real Estate', and Doug Kinzy/Holly Jorgenson's 'Colorado Serenity have underwritten this series of benefits for local non-profits. Special thanks to Doug at Serenity for three full pages of Serenity over the summer months, and beaucoup kudos to Larae Netton for designing our posters, etc. So many have contributed to make this happen... Jerry Lautigar, Bart Corfee, John Ellis, Pandora, Liz, Jim Lein, Trent Winegar, &... (who did I miss)?
You may remember this showcase concert series from last year's 'Something Underground' and 'Dakota Blonde' concerts. It is produced by John Erlandson Music with Jerry Lautigar and Mountain Foothills Rotary.
We (JE & The Mostly Pretty Random All-Stars) will open the night (5:30-6:30PM) and feature the bluesy vocals and tasty guitar leads of our good friend Dean Dalvit (Open Space). We are followed (7-9PM) by Southern Exposure ( Denver 's own big name contemporary/traditional bluegrass band).
Southern Exposure brings their unique mix of traditional and contemporary bluegrass and Americana music to the stage. This Front Range and Foothills favorite has appeared in concert with the likes of of The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Emmylou Harris, The Charlie Daniels Band, Nanci Griffith, and Alabama .
This is a $10 Ticketed concert with proceeds going to ECHO (Evergreen Christian Outreach). Tix may be purchased in advance at area coffee shops: EverBean, The Ice House Cafe, & Java Groove, as well as Suzie's Cafe in Bergen Park . Tix are also available at the concert.
It's going to be a perfect summer night. Come scantily clad (it will be warm), and come ready to eat, drink & be merry. You will wanna dance. See you Wednesday Night, 5:30PM! Much love all ways, JohnE.
