Thanks to Bremerton Rotarians, all third graders in the Bremerton School District have a scholastic dictionary to call their own. Marking the 10th consecutive year, Rotarians handed out a total of 398 dictionaries in October 2012 at the six elementary schools in the district, bringing the total number of dictionaries given to date to 3,910. The children are challenged to look up a new word every day!

The children and their teachers have given this program an enthusiastic response. O ne little girl stood up, raised both of her hands into the air and said:  "this book is so cool!". Thanks to all Rotarians from our club who participated in this great project! Several of our inbound and outbound foreign exchange students helped hand out the dictionaries.
