The First Annual Kayak Olympics, held at Sue & Dick Shipley's home this past Saturday, was a resounding success and all sorts of fun for everyone involved.

Several Rotarians and family members participated in races and there was a great cheering section. Participating in the races were:

Trevor Heath and grandson Connor
Laurie Jones and son Bucky Slegel
Jill and John Wallen
Dick and Sue Shipley
Kim Zook and wife Jan Keiser
Steve Byers
Stacy and John Dore, and son Jack
Then after the races, Kiera Brobst sang the National Anthem and awards were presented.
AND THE WINNERS WERE:
Men's SIngle Boat - Blue Ribbon Winner - Kim Zook
Women's SIngle Boat - Blue Ribbon Winner - Jan Keiser (Kim's wife)
Double Boat Blue Ribbon Winner - Dick and Sue Shipley
Kids Blue Ribbon Winner - Connor (Janet Heath's grandson) and Jack (Stacy Dore's son)
The award ceremony was followed by a barbeque and rides in Dick's 1929 something-or-other (sorry I forgot what kind of car it was) - it was a great hit!
