A lot of thank you's and high fives are going out between club members about the apparent success of the Mushroom Festival, and well deserved. On Friday July 23rd, John Vivian me me at the RAC and took charge of the fencing detail, as far as putting it up and putting together a plan. at 8am the show decorator arrived and began putting together the piping and draping as well as tables and chairs. At 9am Celebrations arrived and started setting up tents for the Root Beer Float Garden as well as the new Kidzone performance area. At 10 am BECU arrived with their mobile ATM , and then some of the over 100 exhibitors started showing up...as well as Steve Rogers... the Cooker for HP Rotary's entry into the Hufungous Amungous Shroom Feast... John Vivian is still putting up fence... also at 10am Mike Beehler and Craig Richards deliverd 2 pallets of Costco Water to ABC Printing and then 2 Pallets to the RAC for HP Rotarians to drink as well as sell for a dollar a bottle to the public. We got thru Friday evening approx 8:30pm or so then started up again at 7am on Saturday morning. that's when it really gets busy.. All I have to say is It was a huge weekend, generating overall, $100K + in gross revenues for the club, and as the dust settles over the next couple of months we may be able to keep a few thousand to give away to deserving charities etc. A BIG THANK YOU GOES OUT TO ALL HP ROTARIANS, AND VOLUNTEERS!
