Hawks Prairie Rotary Club held it's 5th PNW Mushroom Festival at the Regional Athletic Facility on July 28 & 29, 2012 in Lacey. It's formula for success included seven mushroom tastes, many mushroom food vendors, Chef demonstrations, entertainment, Cisco Morris from KIRO, Mr. Tow Mater, Alpacas and a horse and burro from Soggy Bottom and large free Kid's Zone. New features this year included a Food and Wine Tasting Event and an improved serving system and plenty of tastes for the 2012 Shroom Feasters. Rickey Nelson of Ricardo's Pizza and Restaurant won both the Chef's Choice Award and Peoples Choice Award for his fabulous oven baked mushroom pizza.
