June has been designated as Rotary Fellowships Month in the Rotary calendar. It is worth noting that one of the key factors in successful Rotary membership is fellowship, whether organized as with Rotary Fellowships or informal fellowships. Without the fellowship of other Rotarians and the FUN we have in our club or district events, Rotary membership for many would be dull and boring resulting in a loss in membership. The fellowship we enjoy with Rotarians, with the club, the district and internationally makes personal Rotary membership an integral part of our lives. Fellowship brings some important ideas to mind, including sharing, connection, and community.

Think about fellowship during a forthcoming Rotary event -Rotary District Assembly which is being organized on 17th June, 2012 at Guntur, Andhra Pradesh State. Rotarians from 95+ Rotary Clubs, particularly the elected Rotary officers for 2012-13 will get-together to attend this training seminar before beginning the Rotary year from 1 July. Attend this event and network with other Rotarians and their families.

Also think about  attending JAIHO 2012 -the Rotary District Awards nite on 17th June, 2012 from 5-30pm onwards at Subham International Convention Center, Ring Road, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. 

Do not forget to give a refreshing thought to attend informal fellowships, the family events particularly the functions arranged by Rotarians of our Club Members or other Rotary friends during June.

Rotary is an amalgam of individual communities — the club, the district, the region, and the world — each offering a different type of fellowship. We need to remind ourselves to always have FUN  & FELLOWSHIP when we wish to fulfill Reach Within to Embrace Humanity the 2011-12 Rotary International theme.
