The speaker is Michael Stampfler, previous Emergency Financial Manager of Pontiac, Michigan. He is one of the very few experts that have actually done the job, and he did it under both the Granholm and Snyder administrations in Michigan. Our state and our area now have several EMs, Committees and Panels and more are on the way as cities and schools struggle to survive. Stampfler will explain why he thinks it will not work and will damage the situation even more. And how will this activity affect communities surrounding the cities in trouble? What are the alternatives?
