The first Rotary Raft Up at Snipe Point was held Sunday September 20th and many Rotarians and their family and friends were in attendance. All three clubs were represented as we had members of Sunrise and Sunset Rotary enjoying the afternoon at Snipes with The Rotary Club of Key West.

September is always an exciting month for the Virgo babes, and this year was no different. Instead of just presenting a check for the amount of their birthdays, these babes adorned Sergeant At Arms Virginia Panico with two hundred and sixty-eight dollars in a paper chain, like the ones we use to make out of gum wrappers years ago. Virginia and six others spend the rest of the meeting unwrapping the money so that it could be deposited into the scholarship fund. Assistant District Governor Manny Madruga is seen along with District Governor Lee Phares, Bascom Groom, President and Rudy Molinet President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Key West. Lee recently visited the club bringing members up to date on the important new happenings of the district. Lee also thanked the club members for their active participation in the Rotary Foundation and the district efforts to end polio in the world as we know it today.
