Rod Cooper has returned from visiting the water project in Pimienta, Honduras. This project was made possible through a matching grant with the Rotary Foundation. Our club is the international sponsor and the Rotary Club of San Pedro Sula in Honduras is the local club sponsor.

Our Community Assistance Program (CAP) grant for 2009-10 is being successfully completed as you read this. On Saturday, January 16th, parents, teachers, students, and our club's Rotarians gathered at the Shining Rivers Waldorf School in Webster Groves to work.

Justilien Landry's request of the club to raise money to sponsor a ShelterBox for Haiti has raised, to date, over $1,125 in 3 meetings. Each box costs about $1,000. To contribute by check make your check out to Webster Groves Rotary Charities, Inc. Over 3,300 boxes have been delivered to Haiti, and 1,000 more are scheduled. Our newest member, Brian Corrigan, was inducted on Friday January 22nd. Brian is a Certified Financial Planner with Hancock Securities. He has a bachelors in Organizational Communication from the University of Kansas and is very active in community volunteer efforts. He also coaches a rugby team and runs marathons. Brian is sponsored by Dick Sant.
